An overheating device is one of the most annoying things that will happen to a device owner. It’s annoying because who wants to hold a hot phone while you’re scrolling through Instagram and Facebook right? One of the smartphones that experience overheating after few hours of usage is OnePlus 5T.
Few people have complained that they experience overheating with their once in a while. There are many reasons why this happens, and most of them are pretty obvious. First, you might have left your phone under the heat of the sun. If you accidentally did this, just wait for your device to cool down before using it. If the overheating is caused by another reason, we will explain to you how to fix it.
One of the reasons why a device overheats is when you download a third-party app while using the phone. You can check if this third-party application is causing you problems when you see a Reboot to Safe Mode message on the screen while you hole the power off button. When you see this on the screen, click Restart. You should see safe mode flashed on the screen’s lower left corner. If the overheating issue is solved, then it’s confirmed that the third-party app is causing the problem. You can further solve this by completing the factory reset or just uninstalling the app. Most of the time, a third-party app runs in the background and uses much of the device’s battery.
